A clear overview of how Noova requests, records, and honors consent for SMS messaging.

1. Business description

Noova (noova.app) is an AI-powered productivity app for adults with ADHD. Users subscribe to receive daily SMS check-in messages and task reminders. SMS is optional and only sent to users who explicitly opt in.

2. How users opt in

  1. User opens the Noova app and navigates to Profile → Notifications.
  2. User toggles “Daily SMS check-in” ON.
  3. Before SMS can start, a clear disclosure is shown explaining the types of messages, message frequency, and that message/data rates may apply.
  4. User taps “Confirm & opt in” to provide explicit consent.
  5. User receives an immediate welcome SMS: “Welcome to Noova SMS check-ins. Reply STOP anytime to unsubscribe. Message & data rates may apply.”

3. Disclosure shown at opt-in

  • Message types: Daily check-ins, task reminders, and occasional streak/reentry prompts.
  • Message frequency: Up to 3 messages per day, based on your activity and preferences.
  • Cost: Message and data rates may apply according to your wireless carrier plan.
  • Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message, or disable SMS in your Noova profile settings.
  • Support: Contact support@noova.app or reply HELP for assistance.

4. How users can opt out

Users can opt out at any time by:

  • Replying STOP to any Noova SMS message
  • Toggling off SMS in their Noova profile settings
  • Contacting support@noova.app
